The protection of Orbit8 users privacy is of very high importance to us and for this reason, we take any queries or complaints we receive very seriously. Where Do We Obtain Your Personal Data?
We obtain your personal data:
Directly from you – When you purchase a service, create user’s profile, respond to a survey or sign-up to receive marketing communications.
From social media platforms – we acquire your contact details in case you sign up to Orbit8 service by using your social media account(Google, Apple, Facebook).
What do we do with the information you provide to us?
We collect and process your information in the following categories:
Contact information – Data needed to contact you: e-mail address, phone number, postal address.
User profile – The following data is required to create a user profile and grant access to the platform. This information is – username, name, age, email, e-mail address, user’s job title or position and profile picture (optional).
Details of the order – Details regarding your order: services ordered and invoice number.
Payment information – Information needed to receive and transfer payments, e.g., payment method, billing address, bank account number, payment card details (including card number, CVV/CVC code, card expiration date).
Payment status – Details related to your payment, e.g., whether the payment was successful, payment date, time and place.
Survey Data – Our analytics process relies on AI algorithms and involves the utilization of user’s provided data, which are responses to personality, values, and career preference-related questions. This data is used to generate personalized career recommendations for the user.
Website traffic and performance data – We analyse the Website’s traffic and performance to continuously improve our Website, and the user experience.
Information processed by our website’s analytical tools include third-party cookies and identifiers assigned to you, e.g., IP address, location, device information, demographic data, device type, and internet browsing history.
How long is the information retained for?
We will only retain your Personal Data for as long as necessary for the purpose for which that data was collected and to the extent required by applicable law. When we no longer need your personal data, we will remove it from our systems and/or take steps to anonymize it (anonymization is the process of removing personal identifiers, both direct and indirect, which makes the individual being identified impossible).
The use of data processors
Data processors are third parties who provide services for us. We have data protection agreements with our providers. This means that our data processors do not use your information for any other purpose than the support the service delivery of Orbit8. Our data processors will not share your personal information with any other organization apart from Orbit8 and will process your data securely until it is destroyed accordingly.

Where the user of our service is below the age of 18 years, such processing shall be conducted, only if a consent is given or authorized by the holder of parental responsibility over the child.

- Opposition to processing on the basis of legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR)
Data protection supervisory authority
In addition, you have the right to complain to the relevant data protection supervisory authority (Article 77 GDPR), which in the case of Orbit8 is the Latvian Data Protection Authority (Datu valsts inspekcija).
